Founded by Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, SoundOut was created to provide a world-class stage for Ghanaian and African artists to share their stories, perspectives, and artistic excellence with a wider audience. From its very first edition, the exhibition proved to be a remarkable success. Over 8,000 visitors attended the inaugural fair at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, where 36 talented artists showcased their work over a five-day period. It was the largest art fair of its kind in Ghana, setting a new standard for artistic exhibitions in the country.

SoundOut is more than an exhibition — it is a dynamic cultural experience. The event brings together visual art, live music, thought-provoking forums, and curated showcases of indigenous and contemporary artistic talent. Each edition highlights the creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage that continue to shape Ghana’s artistic landscape.

Building on its early success, SoundOut expanded its reach internationally. In 2021, the exhibition launched “Accra in Paris,” marking its first edition outside Ghana and introducing Ghanaian art to a global audience. The momentum continued in 2022, when SoundOut returned to Paris with the support of UNESCO and the Embassy of Ghana, further strengthening its global cultural presence.

Today, SoundOut Premium Arts Exhibition stands as a powerful bridge between Ghanaian creativity and the international art community. Through collaboration, cultural exchange, and artistic expression, the platform continues to elevate artists and inspire audiences around the world.
